Which version of Excel does CellPointer support?
CellPointer is designed for the Windows desktop version of Microsoft Excel and has been tested with Microsoft 365 for Windows.
Does CellPointer change my Excel file?
CellPointer provides a visual guide while you work. It does not add highlighting or formatting to the cells in your worksheet.
Can I turn CellPointer off when I don't need it?
Yes. You can turn the CellPointer view on or off whenever you need it from the View controls.
Can I change the guide color?
Yes. The guide color can be changed to suit your worksheet, display or working preference.
Which browser should I use to download CellPointer?
We recommend downloading CellPointer using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Brave.
Why might Windows show a security warning during installation?
CellPointer is currently distributed without a commercial code-signing certificate. Because of this, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display a warning when the installer is run for the first time.
This warning is related to the application's current signing status. If it appears, select “More info” and then “Run anyway” to continue the installation.
