Before you try ETIC

What are the system requirements?

ETIC is a Windows-only desktop application.
Microsoft Excel is required to read Excel files.
Adobe InDesign is required to open and edit the generated IDML files.

Which browser is recommended for downloading ETIC?

We recommend Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Brave for downloading ETIC. Microsoft Edge may display a SmartScreen warning for newly released installer files.
This warning does not necessarily indicate that the file is unsafe.

Which versions of Adobe InDesign are supported?

ETIC-generated IDML files have been tested with Adobe InDesign CS6 and Adobe InDesign 2026.

What does ETIC create?

ETIC generates an IDML file from a supported Excel table so that the resulting table can be opened and edited in Adobe InDesign.

Does ETIC place an image of the Excel table?

No. The goal is editable InDesign table content rather than a flattened screenshot of the Excel table.

Does ETIC support every Excel feature?

No. ETIC focuses on table structure and supported formatting used for InDesign production. Images, graphics and charts are outside ETIC's conversion scope.

How long is the free trial?

The trial is available for 10 days, giving you time to test ETIC with your own production files.

Do I need Adobe InDesign?
