Less repetitive production work
You might just need ETIC.
Let ETIC handle the repetitive conversion work so you can spend your time on layout, typography and the parts of the job that actually need a designer.
See it in action
See the complete workflow: analyze the Excel file, review the detected settings, export IDML and open the result in InDesign.
Simple workflow
Use the Excel document you already have, including its formatting and table structure.
ETIC reads the table and lets you review the detected table, text, border, color and layout settings before export.
Export the result as IDML and continue working with the table as editable InDesign content.
Built for real tables
Carry table dimensions, merged cells, row heights and column widths into the generated IDML.
Handle font settings, sizes, bold, italic, superscript, subscript and other supported character formatting.
Convert supported border styles and weights, including practical production settings used in formatted tables.
Analyze Excel colors and translate them for print-oriented InDesign production.
Preserve supported alignment, vertical text and rotation settings where applicable.
ETIC creates IDML—not a flattened picture—so the resulting table remains part of your InDesign workflow.
Made for production work
ETIC is designed for designers and production teams working with table-heavy documents such as reports, catalogs, technical documents and other structured publications.
